Kimberly-Clark's Bob Stargel Named One of Savoy Magazine's Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America

DALLAS, February 29, 2016 - Kimberly-Clark Corporation today announced that Robert N. "Bob" Stargel Jr., vice president of Global Nonwovens, has been named to Savoy Magazine's 2016 list of Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America.

"Bob is a truly admired leader at Kimberly-Clark. He is an advocate for our values, and works each day to develop a talented and diverse team," said Mike Hsu, group president, Kimberly-Clark North America.  "His consistent commitment to leading his teams, serving our customers, and building our community show why he has been trusted four times with this honor."

The Top 100 listing showcases a cross section of national and international business leaders and executives representing a diverse range of industries who demonstrate leadership and influence within their company and community.  The full list is available online at savoynetwork.com.

In his role Global Nonwovens for Kimberly-Clark, Stargel leads the internal sector of the company responsible for development, commercialization and supply of materials used to support Kimberly-Clark's branded personal health and hygiene products.

A native of Cincinnati, Stargel joined Kimberly-Clark as an electrical engineer in 1984.  Throughout his Kimberly-Clark career, Mr. Stargel has championed efforts to drive innovation at the intersection of his various roles in engineering, research, manufacturing and marketing.  

In addition to receiving numerous awards and honors across his career, Stargel is active in his global industry and his Atlanta-area community. He serves on the board of governors for the European Disposables and Nonwovens Association (EDANA). He also he holds community leadership roles with Georgia Council of Economics Education, the Georgia Ensemble Theater, and is past chair to the alumni association for his alma mater, the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a board member of Georgia Tech's College of Engineering and the Georgia Tech Foundation.
