DALLAS, April 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) today named Larry P. Allgaier as Group President of Kimberly-Clark North America, reporting to Mike Hsu, President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, effective April 24, 2017, Allgaier will lead Kimberly-Clark's $8 billion North American consumer business, with trusted brands such as Huggies, Cottonelle, and Depend.

Prior to joining K-C, Allgaier held senior leadership roles at Mars Inc., which he joined in 2012. Most recently, he was President of the newly formed Mars Petcare Veterinary Health Group. Before that he was President of the $4 billion North America Petcare business. In both roles he delivered significant growth and market share improvements. Prior to Mars Inc., Allgaier was Global Head of Novartis' Over the Counter Medicines Unit, responsible for over 200 brands in over 50 countries across six regions.
Allgaier began his consumer career at Procter & Gamble, spending 20 years in various leadership roles including Product Supply, Brand Management and General Management, and regional assignments based in Japan and Poland. He has over seven years of experience in Baby Care in North America and Asia, including Vice President and General Manager of the North America Baby Care business, with global responsibility for innovation on pants and premium taped diapers.
Allgaier holds a bachelor's of science degree in Chemical Engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. He and his wife will be relocating to Neenah, Wisconsin.
